Handmade porcelain pythagorean cup decorated with Parthenon of the Athenian Acropolis, decorated with golden details which are made of 24 Kt gold.
According to tradition, Pythagoras, a greek philosopher and mathematician who lived in Samos in the 5th B.C., created the Greedy Cup, also known as Pythagorean cup, in order to teach the citizens of Samos the virtue of moderation, equality and justice. While using the cup, one has to make sure that the cup is not filled over the limit, which is inscribed on the inside of the cup, otherwise, its entire content will be spilled.
The cup is decorated with a depiction of Parthenon and golden details.
The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historic significance, the most famous being the Parthenon. Parthenon is dedicated to Athena,a greek goddess.Its construction began in 447 BC and was complited in 438 BC, the architects were Iktinos, Kallikrates. Parthenon was partly destroyed on 26 September 1687.
